Good Morning Vietnam!

So here we are in Asia, on our final leg of the trip. We made a brief stop in Singapore (just enough time for chilli crab by the river), before flying up to Hanoi We're now in Sapa, in the north west of Vietnam, which is beautiful - up in the mountains - we're going trekking tomorrow, and staying with a local tribal family for the night in a traditional village, which should be an interesting experience.

We spent a couple of days on a boat in Halong bay out to the east, which was pretty amazing too - we'll try and get some photos up on the blog as soon as we find a suitable internet cafe. The food is amazing, and the people are incredibly friendly, with a real sense of fun. Our guide while we're up in the mountains is an 18 year old girl from the Black Hmong tribe, who delights in telling us about her various problems with boys (with a little bit of explanation of landscape and culture thrown in!) . I get big hugs from the ladies back at the hotel in Hanoi too. Hanoi was a bit crazy, but once you got used to the traffic, it was quite a fun, vibrant place, if very hot and humid.
